In the book The Book Thief, how did stealing books make Liesel a better person?

answers1:Stealing books didn't make her a better person, I don't think
anywhere in there did it say that she was a better person. She just
stood up for what she cared for when it seemed like she was completely
alone, and that doesn't necessarily make her a BETTER person, just a
little braver.
