Question about genealogy testing for ancestry !!! (please help!)?

answers1: Genealogy DNA testing is very much about genealogy, in fact
many prominent genealogist feel it is the wave of the future. It is
important to understand what it can and cannot do. It's best use is
for confirming what the genealogist already suspected or proving they
are wrong. Here is a link to a good article to get you started:
DNA Testing 101 - Ancestry DNA Tests for Genealogists (Easy to
understand guide to DNA and genealogy) <a

answers2: Think you are confusing medical testing and the so called
ancestry testing.............. this is genealogy which is researching
ancestry via cited written records, it is nothing to do with genetics
which DNA is, so science/biology or search online for genetic
testing....................................
answers3: The tests that is used for determine if someone has a
predestination for a particular medical condition and genealogical DNA
are not the same.
As far as where the testing is done, in Texas or any other state has
nothing to do with Genealogy, you could look it up in a phone book I
assume. The cost of DNA testing varies. I have seen it run from $199
to almost $500 depending on which test is being given. You could
find that information online just type DNA genealogical tests into the
web search.
