deep yet understandable philosophy books?

answers1: I noticed this too in college when I took a course in
Philosophy, that it was far more difficult reading than it needed to
be.
Recently I've been trying to plow through Metaphysics, Readings and
Reappraisals, edited by Kennick and Lazerowitz, which includes many
great philosophers, Plato, Descartes, Spinoza, Kant, Aquinas, and so
on, but I wouldn't recommend it either. Same problem!
I hope someone has a book suggestion that explains in layman's terms
just how these philosophers thought.
answers2: I think you need to start easier.
Yikes, my bf was really into philosophy.
answers3: much: 'What we as quickly as concept we had we did no longer
And what we now have's in basic terms no longer the comparable So I
call upon the author to describe.' --Nick Cave's 'We call Upon the
author' 'in the experience that your existence is a leaf that the
seasons tear off and condemn they're going to bind you with love it
somewhat is sleek and green as a stem' --Leonard Cohen's 'Sisters of
Mercy' 'yet I permit you be attentive to, I permit you be attentive
to, I permit you be attentive to we would desire to deliver away We
would desire to purpose to discover a clean answer as a substitute of
a manner' --Jim Morrison (extra from Zarathustra than delivery of
Tragedy) 'some women wait for Jesus, and a few women wait for Cain So
I draw close upon my altar, and that i hoist my awl returned. and that
i take the only that reveals me, returned to the place it began out,
while Jesus became the honeymoon and Cain became in basic terms the
guy.' --Leonard Cohen 'final Years guy' i will end now. i think of
virtually any Leonard Cohen could make this record. Dylan and Kobain
have some sturdy ones too.
