Straight acting gays or Masculine acting gay guys?
answers1: Why not just label us all "gay guys?"
answers2: I prefer "masculine gay"/"feminine lesbian." The "acting" is
not necessary, as it too implies that it's not how they naturally are.
answers3: I think it's harmful to engage in the label. Men who are
more masculine and are able to hide in the closet often ridicule gay
men who may be more flamboyant or feminine, and men who can casually
pass as straight are given a false pedestal in the community. Gay men
are gay men, there shouldn't any distinction.
answers4: Hey man. Just take out the word 'acting' and it makes more
sense. But ur rigt on w the 'str8 acting' being dumb as he[[. U can be
gay and be masc but u cant be gay and be srt8. ;) good luck/peace
answers5: Maybe this will help.
answers6: true, never though about it like that, just use the term.
Its not acting if its who they are.
answers7: Both are kinda silly. I don't use either. I'm just me. Most
times it's more masculine but depending on how I feel, I can be a
little more feminine. Not outright girly, but, you know, I have my
moments. lol Point is, I don't call it anything specific. It's just
me.
I even know actual straight guys who have "feminine" moments. I find
it comical because one might take it as "gay" but no, it's just human
nature. Perfectly normal.
answers8: I prefer masculine. Straight acting implies that someone
acts differently based on their sexuality. Which isn't true.
answers9: I think gay is descriptive enough, so that the whole thing
doesn't get over analyzed. Gay is gay. From there consider the person,
not the demeanor.
