what is your definition of poetry?
answers1: Not an easy thing to define. Poetry can be quite technical
such as a sonnet which has an acutal rhyme scheme and poetic beat.
However, poetry can also be song lyrics, jingles and even advertising.
Poetry can be dark and mysterious and or dangerous. Poetry can be
these things but not always. Poetry makes something stick in your
head. Think of the lyrics to songs that you know by heart. These
are poetry. And advertising jingles..people are paid a good deal of
money to make a jingle stick in your head and buy the product. Poetry,
to me, is a medium that moves you to action whether it is tears,
happiness, singing or buying a product. Poetry is huge whether it is
about emotions or being used to exploit your pocketbook. What would
make a song memorable other than the poetic lyrics. Combine the sound
with the poetry and you have smash hit.
answers2: Expression of feelings, stories, a form of art, a way to
clear your head.
answers3: For me, poetry is a passion and therapy so I offer this
which kinda relates to yer details, (somewhat)

Imagine someone able to reach into themselves, pulling out their
brains and souls, (virtually of course) then staining a bit of paper
with those bleeding emotions, creating something with words.
answers4: Good Poetry, should be the ultimate in sharing. The ability
to instill in others, an emotion which drives them to react, be it in
admiration or repulsion, as they realise they too, have felt such
things as you describe.
