Christopher Calcano: accounting school is hard,,but,,, before you major in business at all, check your local job listings,, the real jobs will always ask for 3-5 years experience,,they never hire new grads,, do you have heavy connections to get past the "Must have experience" part of your job search? healthcare is where jobs are for grads.

I am afraid that the roles you perform majoring in business in college are going to v! ary depending on the college, their program and emphasis, in a! ddition to your own goals and strengths. Good luck!My niece went to school, planning a nice career as a counselor but ended up with a major in Economics and a minor in Business Admin. She now stays at home, raising her children and running the scouting program.My daughter, on the other hand, is very good with computers, but she has several years working at a large medical center and got an AA in Criminal Justice. The answer, for her, is to major in human resources. Her future choices will allow her to go to law school to become an HR attorney or if she likes, to become a specialized consultant who helps the government to pursue people / companies who commit fraud. With her computer skills, experience doing HR for medical people, and her interest in Administration of Justice, she has a lot of options....Show more
Arlen Hamper: Not really.... but I agree with the person above-- if you want to be really good at business, then you have to do extra work outside of classes,! such as get involved in business clubs and stuff
