Is there a device like Tivo?

Adelle Weight: TiVo's only $15/month for the first two years. We actually just put the subscription on a credit card, so we get miles. When you're paying $100 off on a card, the $15 to TiVo seems WELL worth it. Things that aren't TiVo are just digital VCRs. If that's all you want, that's fine. However, TiVo recommends shows, allows you to download additional movies, gives you digital information about the show you're watching, allows you to search for any TV show or movie and will tell you when it's playing, etc.(PS we're college students too who were also worried about the termination costs. Raymundo Kyser: most cable and satellite systems offer a DVR but it's not tivo. tivo is a full service system ,other DVR's are just glorified VCR's without the tape,give tivo a try and you won't want anything else,but if you want to go cheaper don't try tivo,if you try it you won't! go back.

Trena Berum: Well I have DVR and it can record future events, live T.V., and you can watch them later etc. Although I have DVR with the Dish Satellite Network, so I'm not sure about the costs.
